Liz, from Be Encouraged, very kindly selected me as the lucky recepient of her birthday eve prize draw.
It arrived today. It's a special birthday pillowcase. It's beautiful, isn't it?
And even better, she had made it herself with her own talented little hands.
And even better for me (and you), was that she has posted a tutorial
on how to make them for ourselves. My MIL had made the pillowcases that are on our bed at present, but this pretty thing would look a bit lonely. I might just have to give it a go and make it some friends.

When I read the title of your post, I read "A very unhappy birthday to me!". I was trying to work out why you were having an unhappy birthday when you had gotten such a lovely present & said it wasn't even your birthday, when I realised my mistake!
The present is lovely but I agree, it definitely needs friends.
I must admit, I was a tad jealous that you won that one ;) it was looking so cute on her blog but now it's even cuter on your pillow! Congratulations!

It is a pretty pillowcase. Isn't it nice to get a gift? It can lift your mood instantly.
Oh Sandra, you are too sweet. But I really think that people who actually make their bed probably deserve to win things like that more than I do! It wouldn't just be lonely on my bed, it would be totally lost!
