Well, on Monday we're off on holidays and then we will see a whole heap of that white stuff.
We've said goodbye to Kindy and Nathan's wonderful teachers and classmates and we've farewelled Rowan's class and teacher today. Rowan was a bit upset with us earlier in the week thinking about the things he would be missing out on, like putting up the tree and having break up with his class. He couldn't get past that to think of the special things we will be doing.
Details:
We fly into Munich fairly early in the morning and spend a bit of time there before going onto Nuremburg. This is a beautiful town and from what we've read and heard has amazing Christmas markets which are literally called Christ child markets. They have a Christmas angel who visits and hands on childrens markets too. We are staying there for nearly a week.
And then off to Vienna. Another beautiful city and I am looking forward to Kaffe and Kuchen just like I read about in the Chalet School books. My needs are simple :> More amazing Christmas markets. Are you seeing a trend here?
I just read on a site that in Vienna, Christmas is special. It would appear it is special in most of Europe. And this will be a Christmas of so many very special memories and a time to celebrate the Christ child's birth.
We then head to Pontresina in Switzerland via the Bernina Express. Brett is very excited about this. It is a very scenic train journey.
It seems to be very family friendly and is picture postcard pretty.
Let's hope for no injuries!
Then Fussen, Munich again, Paris, Eurostar to London, Christmas dinner in Windsor.
I hope that gives you a taste of what we will be doing in the next few weeks. There are more places that we are going and things to see but I really should be making dinner.
We know that we are very blessed to take such a special holiday. And it will provide us with many fantastic memories.
I will try to do some posting while away, but it won't be very regular I imagine. We'll be having too much fun!
Wishing you a wonderful December. Hope you take time to do some special things with your family that you can treasure, whether it be big or small. Take care.

I used to love the chalet school books ( in fact I own a couple). Enjoy your coffee & cake there!
Wish I could go marketing with you - they look great!
Merry Christmas to you all!
